For Sale: 1970 Plum Crazy and White Roadrunner convertible with a 426 Hemi for sale. Complete rotisserie restoration, this gorgeous Plum Crazy with white interior and white top Hemi is growling to go. This car is powered by a 426 crate Hemi (this car originally started as a 383, but deserves the awesome horsepower only a Hemi can deliver). Coupled with a 727 Torque-Flite and factory 323 anti spin differental, it roars down the road turning heads from every direction. It has less than 100 miles since the restoration. Exhaust is from TT&I -- 3" stainless tubes to the chromed headers - a total exhaust kit. Interior was completely redone with Legendary seat, carpet, panels and power convertible top in beautiful contrasting white. Seat belts were restored by Snake Oil in Tyler, Texas - a company well known for their perfection. Wheels are Magnum 500 15" chrome with BF Goodrich tires that grab the pavement. This car started life with drum brakes, but now sports Master Power Brake conversion power discs on the front to stop this powerful beast. It has a new fuel tank, new fuel lines, and new Hemi fuel sending unit. Sitting atop that powerful Hemi is a new Demon 850 CFM carb. Cooling this big monster is a AFCO aluminum racing radiator. All new brake lines were installed. All chrome components of the car were rechromed in Lubbock, Texas. All pot metal was refinished in El Paso. The steering wheel is factory for the Roadrunner. The dash is factory including the AM in dash factory radio - never been cut. There has been a Kenwood CD player installed in the glove box (without any alterations to the original dash) and a legacy amplifier/booster/speaker box installed in the trunk (again without alterations). Paint is factory correct FC7 Plum Crazy with 5 coats of Dupont clear coat (although in some pictures, the light makes the car look dark blue, it is actually purple). This car was completely restored by a professional body man who worked for some 7 years performing body/paint work for race car legend Don The Snake Prudhomme. All hoses, pumps, and cylinders were replaced - we still have the originals as well as the original 383 Magnum power train in its original condition. Car has fender tag, VIN tag, and build sheet. We have complete pictures of the restoration from start to finish. We liked the go wing and added it for that special touch. The Roadrunner dust trail stripes add to the eye catching quality of this car. Nothing has to be done to this car.....except get in and roar down the road. For more information contact 940-839-6065.
